Manual Buick Regal! Say What?

2011 Buick Regal

I can proudly say since the GM Bankruptcy that Buick is not your grandpa’s Buick anymore.  Since the restructuring of General Motors Buick has transformed into a competitive luxury car maker here in the United States.  Buick has been a huge success in China for GM one of the major reasons why leaders in Detroit decided to keep Buick as one of its key brands.

With the 2010 Buick LaCrosse and the recent announcement of the 2011 Buick Regal (aka Opel Insignia) the future looks bright for Buick.  One of the down falls of Buick has been its buyers average age.   Buick has not built cars geared for younger generations.  Now welcome to a more hip and edgy Buick brand.  The LaCrosse is a great car and definitely will compete great head to head with Lexus and many other luxury car makers throughout the world.  The car that will bring younger buyers in the showroom is the Buick Regal.  With the hope of getting a Regal GS with over 335-hp turbocharged V6.  The Regal is going to come with a 6-speed manual transmission.  A manual transmission in a Buick, yes you just read that correctly.

The Regal will come with 2 official engine choices of right now.  The 2.4L 4 cylinder will only be offered in an Automatic Transmission.  This is the same engine found in the Chevrolet Equinox along with the Buick LaCrosse.  The 2.4L will produce 182-hp and 172 lb-ft of torque.  The 2.0L turbocharged engine will be offered in the automatic and 6-speed manual transmission.  The 2.0L is going to have 220-hp.

I am so excited for the Buick Regal if you have not noticed as I have written about it for weeks.  This is definitely one of the cars I am looking forward to the most for the upcoming year.  Art Gamblin Motors Buick.

Art Gamblin Motors Buick News

Art Gamblin Motors was founded by my grandfather Art in Enumclaw, WA in 1969. Currently my father Alan Gamblin is running the dealership. I am working in our Internet Department and love working with our website www.gamblinmotors.com. We have been a General Motors Dealer for 40 years and we are excited that General Motors has decided to keep us as a General Motors Dealer for the next 40 years.

There are some different things that have happened with our dealership and General Motors restructuring. We will no longer be a Pontiac Dealer in the years to come. We are currently still selling Chevrolet, Pontiac and Buick.

There has been some very exciting news from Buick! Buick just sold its 2 millionth vehicle in China. Buick is one of the fastest growing brands in China. It took General Motors 8 years to sell 1 million Buicks in China and only 3 years for its next million. Buick has had huge success with Buick in China since the 1930’s when a Buick car won a prestigious race in China. Currently sales numbers are very strong in China for Buick. The success in China for Buick is a key factor in General Motors decision to keep the car franchise in their restructuring process.

2010 Buick Lacrosse

Buick is also in the headlines for its new 2010 Buick Lacrosse. The Lacrosse just announced that it will come with a direct injected Ecotec 2.4L four-cylinder engine which will help get the Lacrosse 30 MPG HWY. The 2.4L is the same engine found in the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox which gets 32 MPG HWY. The 4-cylinder 2.4L will be standard in the CX models. Buick anticipates that 25% of sales will have the quieter and more fuel efficient 4-cylinder.

Buick has been pushing hard with its new marketing and advertising campaigns to be a top tier car brand, not just some car Tiger Woods was paid to drive. You may have seen an advertisement with the slogan “take a look at me now” and “re-invention.” We are hoping here at Gamblin Motors that the 2010 Buick Lacrosse is the spark to start that fire.

I think the new 2010 Lacrosse looks great.  I look forward to getting our first one here at the dealership and taking it for a little spin.

2010 Camaro

With GM being in the news so much lately it is hard to find something positive in the automotive industry. Well here at Art Gamblin Motors we have had the opportunity to sell 2 of the 2010 Camaro’s. It is the hottest car on the market. There so much demand but so limited supply as seeing one drive down the street stops traffic.
Since the movie Transformers America has been waiting for the new Camaro. I love the Camaro. Growing up my friends were obsessed with exotic cars such as the new Ferrari or Lamborghini. These sport cars would be plastered all over their bedroom walls. Myself I just wanted a 1969 Camaro SS/RS red with black racing stripes.
2003 was a sad year when it was the last year that Chevrolet would make the Camaro. But 2010 marks a new era for the American Muscle car. THE CAMARO IS BACK!
The first Camaro we got was the V6 engine. At first I was disappointed our first Camaro was not a big V8 but the V6 can handle its own. With its 3.6L V6 it pumps out 304 horsepower and gets a jaw dropping 29 MPG hwy.
The second Camaro we got was the RS/SS with 6.2L V8 engine with aftermarket wheels and tires. This car is absolutely beautiful. Hopefully you will get a chance to see it driving around the south Puget Sound area.

I created this youtube video but my music would not come through, so disappointed.
